A very smart and religious man, named Nicodemus, asked Jesus what He had to do to go to Heaven. Jesus said he had to be born again. Nicodemus wondered and asked Jesus how could that happen? Did a man have to go back into his mother’s womb? Jesus asked how it was that a learned teacher of the Jewish history and Law as well as a religious man did not realize what Jesus meant when He said “you must be born again”. Then Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that anyone who believes may have eternal life in Him. For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son that whoever would believe on Him would never die but have everlasting Life.” (John 3: 15-16)
I think maybe Nicodemus finally understood what Jesus meant. The Bible gives us a hint that Nicodemus probably did. After Jesus was crucified it was Joseph of Arimathea who asked for Jesus’ body from Pilate so that it could be prepared for a proper burial and it was Nicodemus who came with Joseph to help prepare the body of Jesus. (John 19:29)
Have you believed on the One Who was lifted up for you?
If not, what is holding you back? Will you bring it to Christ? Ask Him to come in to your heart and He WILL. Ask Him to change you, He will. He is waiting for YOU. Believe it
