In a Moment

Incredible how things can change in a moment. One moment of inattentiveness while driving a car can change a life forever. One moment of indiscretion can destroy a marriage and family. One moment of false testimony can destroy credibility forever

For Christians one moment will change everything for eternity.

(1 Corinthians 15:51-53) “But I am telling you this strange and wonderful secret: we shall not all die, but we shall all be given new bodies!  It will all happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For there will be a trumpet blast from the sky, and all the Christians who have died will suddenly become alive, with new bodies that will never, never die; and then we who are still alive shall suddenly have new bodies too. For our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into heavenly bodies that cannot perish but will live forever”

I was thinking about the current state of affairs our world is in and can’t help but wonder where we are in the plan of Biblical prophecy. The world seems to have gone mad. People are out of control. Right is wrong and wrong is right. As foreign as it is for my human mind to comprehend, God is already in the future. None of this took him by surprise and He is fully aware of what is coming. As a matter of fact, to comfort us, He told us in His Word what we could expect. He said that things will get worse as far as evil is concerned. Most will turn away and be deceived. (Matthew 24) However, He said that we as believers in Christ don’t need to fear because He has promised that in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, He will return for his own. The Savior of our souls will ultimately save us from a hostile world! For those of us who have put their faith in Christ, it will be worth the wait.

Don’t lose focus and get sidetracked. Our faithful God has proven Himself by keeping His Promises in the past and He will certainly keep His promises for our Future! In this world we will have trouble but take heart, Christ has overcome the world! (John 16:33)

Do you believe that?

Why

Why not?
